Education runs an After-School Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 7 at the Biindigin Learning Center for youth aged 8-16. Amanda Jack and Brittney Skead are the after-school program coordinators and have ran a very successful program with up to 18 kids a night. Every night they provide nutritious snacks and meals, activities, crafts and much more. We have scheduled an elder to come in and make cultural crafts and bannock and share the Ojibway culture with our youth. The After-School program is actively involved in planning and participating in community events and have planned their own community events like the Valentine’s dance and the Family Day Kids Merchandise Bingo. The After-School program offers a safe place for our youth to gather together and get to know each other more, and there is always a kind and caring adult to welcome them.
